Vika Acoustic Lighting

A dynamic of sound and light, simplicity and complexity.
Design by: Khodi Feiz

In collaboration with designer Khodi Feiz, Abstracta takes a new approach to acoustic lighting — one that aims to create a peaceful atmosphere. The result is Vika, a sound-absorbing light fixture that radiates atmospheric light while managing both low-frequency and high-frequency noise. “It’s another way of thinking about sound and light,” says Feiz. “Vika’s function is to create a calm atmosphere.”

The acoustic lamp consists of a soft, sound-absorbing core, partly made of recycled PET bottles, and is covered with Texfel fabric.

  • Vika is available in a range of select screen colours. Lighter colours provide brighter light, while darker colours provide more subdued lighting.

  • The luminaire is easy to adjust in height by means of two included 3-metre wires and a wire lock.

  • Vika’s wing shape is as simple as it is ingenious. It dampens low- and high-frequency sounds and radiates an atmospheric light.
