The panels are installed discreetly on a wall using invisible metal fittings in the rear of the panel (included).
Scala sound absorbing panels – a playful paraphrase on corrugated iron that simultaneously employs the functionality of the shape. ”The inspiration comes from the many houses in Iceland, where not only the roofs, but the facades too, are covered by corrugated iron. It gave birth to the idea of bringing it into the space”, explains award-winning designer Anya Sebton. The design of this sound absorbing panel is not only developed for visual reasons, but primarily to contribute to a softer soundscape.
• Great sound absorption
• Timeless design
• Fire tested
• Flexible – can be adapted in sizes
• Recycled materials
Scala is a perfect yet simple interplay between material and form, making the product ideal for use on large surfaces.
The form is inspired by corrugated sheet metal, being based on sinus curves that create natural air gaps behind the product that, in turn, deliver a product with better sound absorption characteristics.
