Developed with Verk and Swedish textile producers including Ullkontoret, Sjuhäradsbygdens Färgeri, and Väveriet i Bollnäs, the textile reflects deep material knowledge and artistic integrity, where every thread conveys presence, slowness, and a gentle renewal of the textile heritage.
The V.IR. textile is made from 100% Swedish wool and showcases the sheep’s natural colors, resulting in four variations without added chemicals. Production takes place entirely in Sweden, with short transport routes, using wool that would otherwise have gone to waste from dairy and meat production.
Utmärkt Svensk Form
The award does not adhere to traditional categories but focuses on highlighting strong examples from the Swedish design scene, regardless of discipline.
The jury evaluates the works from multiple perspectives, with factors such as conceptual strength, artistic quality, sustainability, social relevance, and craftsmanship excellence playing an important role. The scope ranges from timeless everyday objects to advanced material solutions and site-specific environments: always with a clear connection to our present and future.
Abstracta x Verk
The collaboration Abstracta x Verk has resulted in a series of high-quality, sound-absorbing, framed acoustic panels where Råman together with the producer Verk has refined the natural colours and textures of a new Swedish wool cover through her unique weaving technique, creating a timeless and authentic look.
The acoustic panels are covered with this unique wool textile, available in three colourways, in three sizes, and are framed in untreated Swedish oak.
