Air-X

”A playful acoustic room divider.”
Design by: Stefan Borselius

In 2006, Abstracta launched a whole new perspective on acoustic room dividers together with Stefan Borselius – the Air concept. The new Air-X shows that the concept is just as vital many years later.
Taking inspiration from both geometry in nature, the Air concept has given us acoustic room dividers in the shape of flowers, snowflakes, leaves and abstract figures. With Air-X, Stefan Borselius enters a world of symbols, typography, and letters. Made of fabric-covered moulded fibre felt, it absorbs sound and prevents echoes. The x-shaped modules are assembled together to form ‘open’ screens that shape or suggest new spaces within a space, while allowing light to pass through unobstructed.

• Transparent space divider
• Versatile installation
• Wide array of colours and patterns
• Online configuration tool

The acoustic room divider Air-X allows you to create and re-create different pattern configurations.

The modules are soft, sound diffusing and can be combined with eachother to form suspended ‘curtains’ or dividers.
